AN ACT OF DOMESTIC ABUSE OCCURS EVERY 12 SECONDS IN THE U.S.
It wasn’t my intention to present a classic case of Domestic Abuse when I wrote Karma Visited, but Annie Furman is in a BAD marriage where her husband keeps her from friends and family, monitors her moves, doles out only enough money to purchase groceries, berates her verbally, and forces servitude on her.
Annie Furman is a classic case of an abused wife
from the SUNY Downstate Medical Center:
Domestic abuse, or “battering”, is a pattern of abuse by one partner against the other, for the purpose of maintaining power and control…
Psychological battering: The abuser’s psychological or mental abuse can include constant verbal abuse, harassment, excessive possessiveness, fault-finding, isolating the woman from friends and family, deprivation of physical and economic resources, and destruction of personal property.
The advantage of a virtual online blog tour is that if you are unavailable

Have you visited my Potpourri Parlor? I enjoy interviewing other authors and business people;.
I thought I might turn the tables, so to speak, and let my readers know a little more about me as well.
Using a random number generator and a list of interview questions from my editor, I’ve spent the last few weeks “interviewing” myself. I hope you have enjoyed getting to know me a little bit better.
In two paragraphs or less write your obituary.
Chelle Cordero lived a very good life full of adventure, some imagined, some exaggerated, but all thrilling. She leaves behind a loving family – husband, children, sister, nieces and nephews and spoiled pussycats – and she adored each one.
Chelle also leaves behind a huge cast of characters that she created for her novels. Each character had fully formed personalities and argued regularly with Chelle as she wrote their stories. It was one of Chelle’s final wishes that her book characters all be taken home to live happy and eternal lives in the minds of many, many readers.
Can you describe a typical writing day for you?
A typical writing day usually begins around 9:30 when I check my email, Facebook, Twitter and ,my blogs. By late morning – early afternoon I try to tackle deadline projects, do research, and hopefully have enough time to free-write and work on projects that are comfortably “down the road”. I usually sit with my laptop during the evening and check emails and social network sites again.
What would we find under your bed?
I think I would be scared to find out – lots of dust-bunnies, shoes that have gone MIA and probably some paperwork that got “filed” under there. If you are getting the impression that I hate housework you are correct. I need to sell LOTS of books so that one day I can afford a housekeeper (hint).
Thanks for taking the time to get to know me, hope I haven’t disappointed.
